Lancaster Racing consists of a team of seven fourth year engineering students from Lancaster University - Their aim; to design and build a high performance, single seat, formula style vehicle for less than $25,000.

The design and build will, as far as possible be carried out within Lancaster's Engineering Department by the students who, where necessary can call on the vast knowledge of their supervisors and the department technicians.

The finished vehicle will then attend the Formula Student competition at Silverstone racetrack where we will compete against some of the best engineering students from all over the world; the provisional dates for this event are 10-13th July 2008.

With the success of the LR07 car as a foundation, a strong collection of engineers making up the team and a wealth of expertise, experience and knowledge on hand for support we are confident the LR08 car will be something for the record books!
